Kirsteen Sullivan MP raised the ongoing £15 million shortfall for the Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC) rebuild project at St Kentigern’s Academy in Blackburn. ‌

The Blackburn and Linlithgow MP called on the Prime Minister to join her demand for the Scottish Government to step up to meet the funding gap in light of the £10 billion extra in funding received since July 2024. ‌

Speaking in the House of Commons, Ms Sullivan highlighted the significant financial pressures facing cash-starved West Lothian Council with the council forced to find £20 million of the total £35 million project cost from its own budget. ‌

Ms Sullivan urged the Prime Minister to join her in pressing the Scottish Government to step up and provide the immediate support that St Kentiger
