ROCK SPRINGS — Western Wyoming Community College (Western) announced today the final phase of its budget realignment plan as the institution prepares for an estimated $4 million reduction and realignment in its operating budget for the 2026–27 fiscal year.

According to Monday’s press release, this action follows a comprehensive review of Western’s financial outlook, including the impact of reductions in local property tax revenues, the phase-out of reliance on carryover funds, rising operating costs, market-based salary adjustments, and efforts to better align programs and services with enrollment trends and statewide priorities.
