A third arrest has been made in the shooting death of a 24-year-old woman last summer outside of a Choctaw Drive nightclub, Baton Rouge Police said.
Derrick Scott, 24, was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish prison on six counts of attempted first-degree murder, as well as counts of illegal use of a weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, police said in a news release.
The shooting happened in the 3500 block of Choctaw Drive at about 1:30 a.m. on June 22, when gunfire opened in a crowd of people, killing Prenesha Wagner, 24.
Police Chief Thomas Morse said the shooting escalated from a fistfight among a group of women in a parking lot near the after-hours club, The Big Blue House.
Previously, Scott Strickland, 18 , was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish prison
