Az launches investigation into proposed critical mineral mine’s contaminated water discharge

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality is launching an investigation at the South32’s Hermosa project after lab results show water discharge exceeded allowed levels of antimony, a mineral that can damage the heart, lungs, stomach and eyes.
