BOSTON -- Charlie McAvoy will be a game-time decision for the Boston Bruins against the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday (8 p.m. ET; TSN3, NESN).
McAvoy was hit in the face with a puck in a game against the Montreal Canadiens on Nov. 15, necessitating facial surgery. He has missed 11 games.
"Today felt good," McAvoy said after the morning skate. "We just will monitor it throughout the day. I got to go talk to the trainers right now so I don't have an answer for you yet but will see how the rest of the day goes."
McAvoy has 14 points, all assists, in 19 games, and leads all Bruins defenseman in time on ice per game (23:46). He said that he has lost 20 pounds and has been limited to a liquid diet since the surgery, a diet that was supposed to last for six weeks, and has been working on buildi
