NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A nonprofit called “Tiny Superheroes” is gifting children facing illnesses, disabilities and adversity a physical piece of their bravery.
The organization helps thousands of children who are in the hospital by giving them their own official cape as a symbol of courage and community.
Tiny Superheroes runs a free, monthly mission program where kids complete activities tied to a new superpower and earn patches that build confidence and a sense of achievement.
“It’s a very different conversation when you say to a child, ‘Ok, you’re about to go into an MRI scan, it’s not even going to hurt, but I’m going to be right outside.
