STANLY COUNTY, N.C. — WCNC Charlotte has chosen to use this mugshot because of the nature of the alleged crime.
The now-former co-owner of a popular Charlotte brewery is now accused of statutory rape in Stanly County.
Court records reviewed by WCNC Charlotte show that 44-year-old Justin Tawse Brigham, who co-owns Sycamore Brewing, was arrested on Thursday, Dec. 11. He's charged with three felony charges: statutory rape of a child under 15 years of age, first-degree burglary and indecent liberties with a child.
The arrest warrant from the Stanly County Sheriff's Office said Brigham, on Wednesday, broke into a home and engaged in sexual acts with a 13-year-old girl. He was taken into custody on Thursday and appeared in court in the morning.
He was granted a bond of $10 million. I
