The Edmonton Oilers are bringing up reinforcements to help with a slew of injuries up front.

Both Jack Roslovic and Connor Clattenburg have been placed on the IR, and the Oilers have opted to call up NHL veteran Max Jones from the AHL’s Bakersfield Condors. The 27-year-old Jones has five goals and 7 points through 17 AHL games this season, and will likely come up to help replace some of the energy that Clattenburg brought down on the fourth line.

On top of calling up Jones, it appears more bad news has hit the Jake Walman situation , as the Oilers placed the defenceman on LTIR.

Jones was acquired by the Oilers from the Boston Bruins ahead of last year’s trade deadline as a piece in the Trent Frederic deal . He appeared in 19 regular-season games with Edmonton last season, scoring
