DANVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - Road crews in Boyle County say they are prepared for a winter storm that could bring several inches of snow and treacherous driving conditions to parts of central and southern Kentucky.

The county has more than 400 tons of salt on hand, according to road department officials. An eight-person crew will be ready to deploy trucks as soon as weather conditions deteriorate.

“We do not have the luxury of shifting out. We come out and are out until we are done,” said Matthew Kinman, a Boyle County Road Department operator.

Road responsibility divided among agencies
