CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A North Carolina man faces federal charges after prosecutors say he made a series of threatening Facebook posts made in November directed at President Donald Trump.
Christian Wolfe Daniels, of Salisbury, was taken into custody by the FBI and faces charges of threatening the president and transmitting threats in interstate commerce.
According to court records, Daniels allegedly made threatening posts on Nov. 13 and 14 directed at Trump and Vice President JD Vance, stating that they will "face horrors" and "public execution." The posts also allegedly contained rhetoric comparing Trump to Adolf Hitler and threatening medieval torture.
