KELOWNA, British Columbia — Fear not, Winter Olympics junkies. Team USA will be fully represented in curling at February's Milano-Cortina Games.
The United States men's and women's teams both secured places in the final 10-team field at the Winter Olympics by winning playoff matches at the Olympic Qualification event in Canada.
Danny Casper's men's rink locked down its position at the first time of asking and avenged its only defeat of the week, defeating China 9-4 on Wednesday night. Thursday afternoon, Tabitha Peterson's women's rink put away Norway 8-4 in a winner-take-all playoff for the 10th and final position in the Olympic field.
With the victories, the United States continues its streak of never missing an Olympic competition since the sport was reintroduced to full medal status
