It’s been a busy week of staff hires for Matt Campbell at Penn State , and another big one is reportedly taking place Thursday.

Penn State is set to hire Cincinnati director of player personnel Jack Griffith as its assistant general manager, per CBS Sports’ Chris Hummer .

There is a Jack Griffith in Penn State’s staff directory, labeled with the title of “recruiting assistant.”

Griffith spent three seasons with the Bearcats. He also spent time in the New York Jets’ scouting department and as an Ohio State program assistant.

With Cincinnati, Griffith oversaw “all transfer portal operations and played a pivotal role in roster construction,” according to his Bearcats bio.

He will work under general manager Derek Hoodjer at Penn State. Hoodjer, whom Campbell termed one of the “bright”
