By their actions and words (at least public words), the Mets aren’t weighing clubhouse atmosphere very heavily.

Teams regularly downplay or deny clubhouse issues. But their moves align with their words.

By now, I believe them. For good or bad, their focus is analytics (possible name change: New York Metrics?).

It’s hard to imagine they believe that removing the perpetually upbeat Brandon Nimmo and Edwin Díaz enhances the room. Nor should they think adding Devin Williams does, either.
