Eastern Washington University and the Spokane Regional Health District signed a clinical training affiliation agreement to boost collaborations between the organizations. The agreement aims to provide EWU students in health-related fields with more hands-on learning experience through internships and involvement in patient or client health services.
Spokane County Health Officer Dr. Francisco Velázquez emphasized that the agreement addresses the regional workforce needs. In a joint statement, SRHD and EWU said the partnership could lead to more joint projects and research, while providing the health district staff assistance.
