HINDMAN, Ky. (WYMT) - In the first of two consolation games in the Girls WYMT Food City Mountain Basketball Classic, Leslie Co. defeated No. 9 Floyd Central, 51-44.

The Lady Jaguars had a 39-36 lead going into the last quarter.

With 7:30 left in the game, Taylor Couch hit a layup to put Leslie County within one.

The Lady Eagles would claim the lead with less than four minutes in the contest.

Taylor Couch contributed 16 points for Leslie Co.

The Lady Eagles will hit the road face Pike Co. Central at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15.

Floyd Central will face Betsy Layne at home on Friday, Dec. 12 at 6:00 p.m.
