The Denver Broncos are preparing to face the Green Bay Packers in a potential Super Bowl preview this Sunday, and in the lead up to the Mile High City clash, the Broncos have announced a roster decision.

Denver has decided to waive tight end Marcedes Lewis in what Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post called a "procedural move," noting that Lewis will probably be back on the practice squad assuming he clears waivers.

The 41-year-old Lewis is the second- longest tenured player in the NFL behind quarterback Aaron Rodgers, having entered the league as a first-round pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars back in 2006.
