OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) - Main Street Ottumwa launched a survey to help business leaders in the community understand the capabilities of AI.

Faded Barbershop owner Lance Williams said running his small business means juggling many tasks.

“I use ChatGPT for little ideas or I’m not the best for coming up with sale pitches and stuff, so I’ll use it for that to come up with some ideas and some ways to get people in here,” Williams said.

Though he does not rely on it fully, he wants to do more when it comes to learning AI tools to help his business.

“It would be cool to learn how to set up like an automated text for like a no call no show to be able to have something ready...something I don’t have to spend my time thinking out or feeling bad how I say it or anything,” Williams said.
