New Delhi: After two consecutive days of poor AQI, Delhi's air quality deteriorated to very poor on Thursday. The Air Quality Index (AQI) was 305 as opposed to 259 a day earlier. No respite is likely in the next few days as air quality is expected to remain in this range. Central Pollution Control Board's data shows that the air quality started deteriorating after wind speed dipped on Thursday. The rolling AQI was 287 — in the poor range — at 8 am, but rose to 295 at noon. By evening, it turned very poor. "Winds with a speed of up to 20 kmph were blowing during the daytime on Wednesday.
