A court in Pune has proclaimed international fugitive gangster Nilesh Ghaywal as absconder following an application moved by the Pune police. The proclamation paves way for the police to start seizing Ghaywal’s movable and immovable assets if he fails to appear before the court.
The proclamation by the court has come in the case registered against Ghaywal under Telecommunications Act and Information Technology Act for fraudulently procuring a SIM card using the identity of another person and then using that SIM card for financial transactions. This FIR was registered against Ghaywal around mid-October based on the complaint filed by a sales manager at a mobile telecommunication store in Kothrud area.
