WHITEHALL, Ohio — Whitehall City Council President Thomas Potter has requested a legal opinion on options for removing Councilmember Gerald Dixon , who faces criminal charges of sexual misconduct with minors, according to a statement released Thursday night.
Dixon was sworn in Tuesday night to serve another term, hours after being released from jail. Whitehall City Council has not yet decided whether to remove Dixon from his position if he chooses not to resign.
Potter stated that the legal opinion from the city attorney will be provided to council before their next meeting.
