FLAT ROCK – Madleen Hussein had three chances to win the game.
She cashed in on the last one.
Her free-throw with .5 seconds left to give Flat Rock’s girls basketball team a 47-46 victory over Woodhaven on Thursday, Dec. 11.
“We were fortunate to have the final possession and Madleen was fouled on a three-pointer,” Flat Rock coach Brian Kryk said. “She missed the first two free throws but stepped up and knocked down the last one.”
Hussein finished with 15 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Layla Holbrook added 11 points and Brinley Carney had 7 points and 5 rebounds.
