TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Thomas County Central has lost just one game at home over the last four years. That last loss was to Roswell in the state quarterfinals back in 2022.

On Thursday night at the Jackets’ Nest, Roswell was the opponent once again, but this time, a ticket to the 5A state title game was on the line.

The visiting Hornets took a 7-0 lead after scoring on their opening drive. Deuce Lawrence settled the score soon after, scoring on a 30 yard run, his first of five touchdowns on the night.

The two were tied at 21-all at the half, but that changed early in the third quarter. Another Lawrence touchdown, this one for 35 yards, put the Jackets up for good.
