Kulp chosen to join

Murphy USA's board

Murphy USA Inc.'s board of directors has appointed Michael G. Kulp as an independent director.

Madison Murphy, chairman of the El Dorado-based gas station and convenience store chain, said Kulp has extensive experience in retail food service operations and leadership in scaling multi-unit businesses.

Kulp is the founder and chief executive officer of KBP Brands, one of the largest global operators of fast-food restaurants.

Since its founding in 2011, KBP Brands has grown to operate more than 1,200 KFC, Taco Bell, Arby's and Sonic restaurants across 32 states, employing more than 23,000 workers.

Kulp is the immediate past chairman of Restaurant Supply Chain Solutions LLC, which claims to be the world's largest quick-service restaurant purchasing
