A woman was found dead inside her house in Pendarmal village under the Badamal police outpost within Saintala police limits in Bolangir district on Friday, triggering a police investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death. The deceased has been identified as Lakshmi Bagarti, wife of Agasti Bagarti, a resident of the same village. She was living at home with her daughter at the time of the incident.

Villagers Alert Police After Discovery

According to local sources, villagers went to Lakshmi’s house on Friday morning to call her for work. When there was no response, they entered the house and found her hanging.

The matter was immediately reported to the Badamal police outpost and Saintala police station.
