Instagram has unveiled a new feature that gives users greater control over the content they see, starting with the Reels tab. Leveraging AI, the platform now allows users to personalize the topics that shape their Reels recommendations, making the experience more tailored to individual interests.

With the new feature, users can view a summary of the topics Instagram believes they care about, adjust their preferences to see more or less of certain topics, and even share their interests to Stories for friends and followers to see.

The process is simple: while watching Reels, users can tap the icon in the upper-right corner (two lines with hearts) to access “Your Algorithm.” Here, they can see their top interests, tune their preferences, and control the type of content they encounter.
