MANCHESTER, England, Dec 12 (Reuters) – Britain’s economy shrank ‍unexpectedly by 0.1% in the three months to October ‌2025, official figures ‌showed on Friday.

Economists polled by Reuters forecast no growth in gross domestic product for ‍the August-to-October period.

In October alone, the ‍economy contracted by 0.1%, data from the Office for National ‍Statistics showed, against forecasts for a ‍0.1% ‍rise. Single-month GDP figures are ⁠volatile and prone ‌to revision.
