Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on Friday again skipped an important meeting of Congress MPs held at the Parliament’s Annex Extension Building. The meeting, chaired by Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, saw the attendance of 99 MPs and focused on reviewing the party’s performance during the winter session.

According to party sources, Tharoor had informed the leadership in advance about his absence, stating on X a day earlier that he was in Kolkata to attend an old friend's wedding. This marks the third consecutive key meeting related to the winter session that Tharoor has missed.
