VERMILION, Ohio (WOIO) - An Erie County dad who allegedly used a cattle prod to discipline his two young children, now wants to withdraw his guilty plea.
In September, Robert Bores pleaded guilty to two counts of domestic violence. On those charges, Bores faced a maximum of six years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
Bores was scheduled to be sentenced Thursday in Erie County Court of Common Pleas; however, his attorney filed a motion to withdraw the guilty plea.
Judge Roger Binette continued the sentencing and Bores will return to court next month for a hearing on the motion to withdraw the guilty plea.
Bores, 35, was arrested on March 13, 2024 after a tip from Children Services led Erie County Sheriff’s Detectives to his home in the area of State Route 113 in Florence Township.
