A threat has been issued to those who use Nuneaton and Bedworth as a 'dustbin'. Councillor Tony Venson, cabinet member for planning and enforcement at the Town Hall, said the local authority is currently taking action against 'high profile' cases of fly-tipping in the borough.

He warned that those who dump rubbish across the two towns in the future face similar action: "I can confirm that we have several prosecutions going through the courts regarding recent high profile incidents and would therefore like to remind those who think that they can use our borough as a dustbin that it is illegal to fly-tip and if we catch you, we will take formal action against you."
