No sooner had the programme begun than the festive fiend started causing havoc on set, disrupting a cooking demonstration and attempting to lead a phone-in.

However, viewers were far from amused. One disgruntled fan vented: "The Grinch on every year and it's still not funny."

Another declared: "This is embarrassing. I'm off!!" while another viewer expressed their distaste: "Can't stand to watch that Gringe thing on there. Just awful!", reports Wales Online .
