Ten finalists have been selected for the 2025 Sloan Student Prizes from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation ’s nationwide film program.
Winners will be honored at an awards ceremony, featuring work-in-progress readings by professional actors, at MoMI in early 2026.
The finalists include student filmmakers from universities across the country who will compete for the prestigious Sloan Student Grand Jury Prize and work with mentors to refine their screenplays for the Sloan Student Discovery Prize.
Filmmaker and academic Jon K. Jones (“Let There Be Light”), filmmaker Shawn Snyder (“To Dust”) and writer and filmmaker Drew Burnett Gregory (“The Foxes”) have been selected as this year’s mentors who will help prepare the finalists by giving script feedback.
