Colts quarterback Daniel Jones posted on Instagram on Thursday night, his first public statement since he torn his right Achilles tendon in a non-contact injury in Sunday's loss to the Jaguars :
"Thank you to my teammates, coaches, the Colts organization, and all the fans for the overwhelming support. Tough way to end this season but it has been an honor to wear the horseshoe and play for Colts fans. I'll miss lining up with my guys, but I'll be riding with them every step of the way. Go Colts!"
The Colts have signed 44-year-old Hall of Fame semifinalist Philip Rivers to their practice squad as a possible replacement for Jones, along with backup Riley Leaonrd. An Achilles tear has a minimum of a nine-month recovery period, putting Jones' return at the start of next season in a best ca
