STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- The Department of Transportation will conduct roadway repair and maintenance work throughout Staten Island during the week of Dec. 15.

Maintenance crews will work during both daytime and nighttime hours across all Community Boards on the Island. The work is necessary to maintain safe and efficient roadways, according to the DOT’s Roadway Repair and Maintenance Division.

Drivers should expect temporary detours and street closures in affected areas during the repair period.
