Tech billionaire Elon Musk once again referred to his estranged transgender daughter’s transition as a “tragic mental illness" caused by “the evil woke mind virus", in response to a jibe by California Governor Gavin Newsom’s office.

This remark came after Newsom told a podcaster that he wanted to see more transgender students, highlighted pro-trans legislation under his tenure and advocating himself as a strong supporter of LGBTQ rights.

In response to the video shared by Elon Musk’s Public Action Committee (PAC) on X, Newsom’s office said, “Correct. We’re sorry your daughter hates you, Elon."
