From helping you write emails to managing smart home devices , Google’s Gemini is steadily integrating into more aspects of your life. Soon, it could change how you read books on your phone.

Android Authority has discovered an upcoming Gemini integration while digging through the latest beta release of the Google Play Books & Audiobooks app (version 2025.11.29.2). While the integration is not live yet, the publication has managed to enable it manually, giving us an early look at how it might work upon release.

As shown in the attached screenshots, the app could introduce a new “Ask Gemini” button in the menu that appears whenever the user selects text. Although it’s not functional yet, this button will likely let users ask Gemini questions about the selected text,
