Aberdeen FC officials have held positive talks with the city council and agreed to work towards an agreement on the new beachfront stadium project.
Dons chairman Dave Cormack and chief executive Alan Burrows were invited for talks with Aberdeen City Council on Friday.
It came after a war of words developed with several councillors coming out publicly against the £50million-plus project.
The city council held out an olive branch and it appears that progress has now been made in trying to move the project forward.
Burrows confirmed: “It was a positive meeting where we have agreed to work towards a heads of terms that seeks to explore the delivery of a new stadium for Aberdeen.”
