High-frequency digital payments have become routine for young Indians, with 74% of super.money users making more than 50 payments a month, according to the platform’s inaugural superSpends 2025 report. A growing set of users also crossed 200 monthly transactions, based on insights drawn from millions of UPI payments on the app.
The report shows distinct time-based patterns across metropolitan cities. Transactions peaked between 6–11am—mostly for groceries and supermarket purchases—and again between 6–11pm, driven by dining and fast-food spends.
Late-night food delivery also registered increased activity between midnight and 6am. Fuel payments were the second-most frequent category during these morning and evening peaks.
