Of all the things Mountain View senior Teaghan Irvin accomplished during a decorated four-year prep career, there’s one thing that stands apart.
“I didn’t give up. I didn’t quit,” Irvin said. “When I faced adversity, I wasn’t like, ‘OK, I’ll just go transfer, or I won’t play soccer, or I’ll just do club, or I’ll move clubs.’ I didn’t quit, and ultimately that’s what I’m so proud of.”
Irvin already had her college plans lined up and was on track to graduate early as a senior, but felt she had unfinished business with the Thunder girls soccer team.
So she returned for one final season, intent on reaching the goals she and her Mountain View teammates set.
They checked off all of them by repeating as 3A Greater St. Helens League champs, winning a district title and returning to the Class 3
