Huma Qureshi has joined the ongoing conversation around paparazzi and their role in the industry, days after Jaya Bachchan ’s sharp comments that sparked debate online. While Jaya criticised the behaviour and appearance of some photographers, Huma took a different position and called them an important part of the ecosystem.

In an interview with India Today, Huma described her relationship with the paparazzi as very healthy. She said actors rely on them more than they admit. According to her, the visibility they provide helps during promotions and even during quieter phases when a celebrity wants to put something out in public. She said, “I think they are also important.
