Waukee superintendent Brad Buck is retiring at the end of the school year, he announced in a letter to families on Thursday, Dec. 11.
Buck has been in public education for 34 years, 17 of which were in the Waukee Community School District. His last day will be June 30.
He will become executive director of the School Administrators of Iowa, an organization that works to support leaders in education across the state, he said in the letter.
