COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - The Pikes Peak Library District (PPLD) announced Friday the completion of an upgrade to its Integrated Library System (ILS).

According to PPLD, the ILS hosts the library’s online catalog and allows patrons to check out books, reserve and renew items, and manage their Library experience.

The new system, called Polaris, was chosen earlier this year and offers increased efficiency and enhanced features, the district said.

PPLD said the new user experience includes optional reading histories, the ability to save and share searches, suggested reads based on titles of interest, reading and grade level available, and multiple formats of a book grouped under one entry instead of multiple.
