Tom Cruise 's new movie has reportedly been cancelled after the actor refused to ask for President Donald Trump's help in its production. Following the end of Mission: Impossible with The Final Reckoning , Cruise has been busy on a number of forthcoming projects. This included one movie that would film in outer space, directed by Doug Liman ( Edge of Tomorrow ).

But, according to a report from Page Six , Cruise's movie that was set to film in outer space has been cancelled. As explained in the article, in order for Cruise to film in space, he and Liman needed to collaborate with NASA for the project. However, Cruise would have had to ask a favor of President Trump to make it happen, which the actor didn't want to do.
