Jason Momoa's casting as Lobo gets further explained in the DC Universe ahead of his Supergirl debut next year. Following his tenure in the DCEU movie timeline , Momoa is back in the world of DC, but as a very different character this time around.

In an interview with CBR , Peter Safran, who is the co-CEO for DC Studios, elaborated on Momoa's Lobo casting after playing Aquaman. “Well, it's Jason Momoa. Talk about a great fit,” he stated before adding, "In real life, he is Lobo, so it's a perfect fit."
