Highways and local roads remained shut Friday morning throughout Western Washington because of flooding and mudslides.
A 49-mile stretch of Highway 2 from Skykomish to Leavenworth, including Stevens Pass, was closed because of rocks, trees and mud in the roadway in multiple locations, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation. There is no detour available and no estimated reopening time.
Four miles of Highway 9 in Snohomish is closed from Bickford Avenue to Lowell-Larimer.
In East King County, both directions of Highway 202 are closed from Chief Kanim Middle School to Bendigo Boulevard in and around Snoqualmie; northbound Highway 203 is blocked from Highway 202 to Northeast Tolt Hill Road south of Carnation; and both directions are closed from Northeast Cherry Valle
