OSCEOLA, Ark. (KAIT) - A judge sentenced an Osceola man to 12 years in prison for the 2023 shooting death of a 15-year-old boy.
Second Judicial Circuit Court Judge Tonya Alexander sentenced Moses Black Jr., 20, to 84 months in the Arkansas Department of Corrections with an additional 60 months enhancement to run consecutively after finding him guilty of manslaughter.
During Wednesday’s bench trial, Alexander also sentenced Black to 12 months each in the county jail to run concurrently after convicting him of second-degree child endangerment.
According to the sentencing order, Black must serve 144 months in the ADC with 516 days of jail time credit.
On June 29, 2023, Osceola police responded to a home on Nickerson Street around 10:13 p.m. regarding a person shot in the head.
