JioStar and ICC have both denied rumours of a break-up and said that the broadcast partnership will continue for major cricket events in India. A recent media report stated that JioStar had told the cricket governing body that they didn't want to continue with the remaining two years of their four-year deal, citing heavy financial losses.
However, both parties came together with a joint statement, saying that the recent reports don't suggest the current position of the organisations regarding the deal. The report had also stated that the broadcast of the T20 World Cup 2026 was put in jeopardy by JioStar's decision to pull out of the deal.
