N.J. swimming fans were treated to some marquee matchups during the first 11 days of the New Jersey girls swimming season.

From Bridgewater-Raritan’s thrilling two-point victory over Pingry to Moorestown’s shocking win over No. 3 Haddonfield, there were plenty of big meets this week that necessitated changes in our Top 20 rankings.

1-Chatham (2-0)

Preseason ranking: No. 1

Chatham backed up its preseason No. 1 ranking with two incredibly fast meets. On Monday, they surged past Mountain Lakes with a 115-55 win, piling up 3,386 power points. Just two days later, they cranked it up another notch, notching 3,587 power points as they cruised past No. 16 Randolph, 121-49.
