Skiers and riders at New Hampshire’s Bretton Woods have been riding a new high-speed lift this week.
New Hampshire’s largest ski area unveiled the BEQ II on Saturday, affectionately known as “Becky.” The high-speed, four-person Leitner-Poma detachable quad lift replaced the original Bethlehem Express Quad, which transported skiers and riders for more than 35 years.
“It’s great news for skiers and riders,” said Celine McArthur, spokesperson for Bretton Woods, in a video posted on the website. “This high-speed quad is your gateway to even more terrain during these fantastic early-season conditions.”
