ORCHARD PARK - The Buffalo Bills may have a big problem in their defensive secondary Sunday when they meet the New England Patriots in a game they must win to stay alive in the AFC East race.
Cornerback Christian Benford suffered a toe injury during practice Thursday and will not practice Friday. Obviously, that’s a titanic injury for the Bills as Benford has been one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL during the second half of this season.
Benford will likely be listed as questionable for the game, meaning it’s going to be a 50-50 call depending on how he feels in the pregame. If Benford can’t play, the Bills would have to go with Tre’Davious White and Maxwell Hairston as their starters.
