The NCLAT has directed IL&FS not to create any third-party interest over its Mumbai headquarters. This comes after Brookfield's appeal against a recent NCLT order. The NCLAT also asked Brookfield to renew its performance guarantee within a month. IL&FS must file its reply by January 6, and Brookfield its rejoinder by January 16.
